Nick Beardslee is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, primarily working as a writer/director/DP. Many of Nick’s films can be described as “sexy spooky mysteries.”
Raised in Michigan, Nick took to filmmaking at a young age and grew up making short spy movies with his brother Drew. Nick is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, where he received a BA in Film & Video Production. Upon graduation, Nick worked as a Video Producer at the University of Michigan, creating videos for the art school and musical theater department, where he met many of the actors he continues to work with today.
Nick currently works as a video producer at Squarespace.
His short film Bird in Hand, premiered at NewFest in 2022, and online through Short of the Week, who called it one of the best short films of the year and “as structurally perfect as a New Yorker Magazine short story.”
Nick’s latest short, H*le, is currently on the film festival circuit.
